What is a Patient Participation Group?
A Patient Participation Group, or PPG for short, is a group of patients who work together with their local healthcare providers to improve the health services available to them. PPGs are typically made up of volunteers who are registered at a specific GP practice or healthcare centre and meet regularly to discuss healthcare issues and suggest ways to improve the services provided.
PPGs act as a voice for patients, providing feedback and suggestions to healthcare providers on how they can improve the services they offer. They also help to raise awareness of health issues within the local community and encourage patients to take an active role in their own health and wellbeing. PPGs may also organise events and campaigns to promote healthy living and support those with particular health needs.

How do I join a Patient Participation Group?
We are looking to involve as many patients in the group as possible, from across all Our Practices on a voluntary basis so that we can shape and develop the services that we deliver to you. Please contact the Practice you are registered with to join your PPG.
